Tropical Treat pawpaw is widely regarded as one of the best-tasting pawpaws on the market, with a mango-like flavor and a hint of pineapple. Direct grower comparisons back the reputation, grouping it with the late, very-good-tasting varieties. Despite that flavor it actually ripens early, in mid-August in Kentucky, and the medium fruit keeps well in cold storage.
